Addison and Steele design and make fine suits and shirts for discerning customers. We only sell made to measure clothes, made specifically for each individual customer, and we only use the finest materials.
The company is named after Joseph Addison and Sir Richard Steele, eighteenth century journalists writers and politicians who had strong views on the importance of being well dressed.
We share their attitude towards quality style and the value of a well cut cloth. We only use the highest quality cloths many from the finest mills in England and Italy.
Choice is at the heart of our business with numerous fabrics and styles to choose from
Either visit us at our showroom at 2, Cavendish square, London strictly by appointment or arrange for our tailoring specialist to visit you at home or in your office.
Made to Measure
The only real difference between a bespoke suit and a made-to-measure suit is the level of handwork involved.
Our made-to-measure suits have the same options available as our full bespoke suits but are offered at a more advantageous price.
Your measurements are translated to your own unique pattern, cut, and sewn in our Made-to-Measure workshop. We use the latest technology available, programmed and driven by decades of English tailoring experience.
Finally your suit will be finished and pressed by hand.
Bespoke
The pinnacle of the tailor’s art is the full bespoke suit. Order a bespoke suit from Addison & Steele, and your measurements will be transferred onto a paper pattern, before being expertly chalked by hand onto your chosen cloth. Cut with scissors, the cloth is then sewn together using the finest quality thread, interlinings and buttons.
The suit is lovingly finished and pressed before being delivered and fitted.
